About Scott

Scott is the Director of Product at RunBuggy – a platform that connects car shippers and haulers through an app. Thanks to the RunBuggy app, they allow dealers, auctions, and individuals to ship and track cars across the United States. However, it’s only the beginning as they are planning to grow and expand.

Although he spent the recent years of his career in product management, his background comes from marketing and technology.

Few Questions for Scott:

1. What was your first job, and what was the most important thing you learned from it?  

Nielsen (Now NielsenIQ). Learning how to fail and accepting it. I was afforded a lot of opportunities early in my career to interface with some high-level folks at different levels. Some of these presentations went amazing, and some did not so well – learning that failure is part of learning and improving was big for my growth there. 

2. Given the choice of anyone in the world, who would you have a beer with? 

Serena Williams, the GOAT

3. How do you start your day / What does a typical day look like for you? 

My day starts by walking my dog and getting coffee – some days I make it myself, and some days I treat myself to something from the local coffee shop here called Rabble. I check my messages and get my day going. I also have a saying that I read out loud to myself every morning – it’s from a book called ‘You Are Here’ by Thich Nhat Hanh. The saying goes: ‘Breathe in and tell yourself that a new day has been offered to you and you have to be here to live it’. 

4. What are three apps you can’t live without? 

• Calm
• Youtube
• DoorDash

5. Most influential book or movie? 

‘You Are Here’ by Thich Nhat Hanh.

6. The first word that comes to your mind when you think of Poland 

Shotski? We used to celebrate Dyngus Day in college, so I always think of the shotski.
